Goji Vegan Hotel

Opened in May 2023, Goji Vegan Hotel was born from an idea by Giannis, who returned to Rhodes after ten years in London to take over his family’s hotel—on one condition: transforming it into a fully vegan and sustainable space.

Giannis, owner of Goji Vegan Hotel in Rhodes

Fully renovated inside and out, Goji is a family-run 3-star hotel based on sustainability and vegan hospitality. All dishes—authentic Greek and entirely plant-based—are prepared by Giannis’ mother and grandmother.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and Giannis is always available to help with information and suggestions.

Goji Vegan Hotel is located in Ialysos, about 800 meters from the town center and a 10-minute walk from the beach.

The Rooms

Designed with sustainability and guest comfort in mind, all rooms and apartments come with a kitchenette.

Toiletries are from the vegan line “Good to Declare”, all packaged in eco-friendly, recycled, and reusable containers.

In line with their eco-conscious approach, the hotel requires a minimum stay of 3 nights, optimizing cleaning and resource use.

Vegan Breakfast

Breakfast is served poolside and may include homemade jam with bread or crackers, vegan butter, cheese slices, dried fruit, or delicious bowls with yogurt, muesli, fresh and dried fruit.

Rates are available in three formulas:

  • Room only
  • Room + breakfast
  • Half board (breakfast + dinner included)

The Vegan Restaurant

Dinner is based on a fixed 4-course menu that changes daily, and includes:

  • a starter
  • a salad
  • a main dish
  • dessert

Some of the dishes I tried included:

  • Greek Salad with incredible vegan feta
  • Spinach and Pumpkin Pie
  • Stewed Snow Peas with Potatoes and Tomato

I ended dinner with a truly unique dessert: the “Spoon Sweet”, a traditional Greek treat made from candied eggplant and pine nuts – prepared by Giannis’ 93-year-old grandmother!
It was truly unforgettable.

FUN FACT: The Spoon Sweet is a traditional Greek dessert. I tried several during my trip to Rhodes, but the one made by Giannis’ grandmother was the best by far!

Even the drinks, cocktails, and wines on the menu are entirely vegan.

🍷 I tried a wine from Kir Yanni, one of Greece’s vegan wineries.

Around the Hotel

Goji Vegan Hotel is just 6 km from the airport and about 8 km from Rhodes Town.

Renting a car will give you more freedom to explore the best beaches on the island, but public transportation is also an option – the nearest bus stop is just 350 meters from the hotel.

If you’re looking for nearby food options, I also recommend Alkionis Sports Bar, a casual spot with a separate vegan menu that includes gyros, burgers, meatballs, Greek salad, pizza, and hot dogs – all plant-based.

In Conclusion

If you’re vegan and looking for a welcoming and fulfilling experience that reflects your values, look no further: Goji Vegan Hotel in Rhodes is the perfect choice.

With its eco-friendly rooms, traditional Greek cuisine reimagined in a vegan key, a pool, and proximity to the sea, this hotel offers an unforgettable stay. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of Rhodes in a way that aligns with a vegan lifestyle.
